Two mounting options are available:

1. For an inside slide patio door, a kit including a .050 door interlock & and 1 of 2 .062 interlocks, 3/8” or 3/16”, for mounting to the stationary door or
2. An outside post interlock kit and bug seal.

I can remember installing the Aluminum Sliding Security Screen Door for the first time. It was at a condominium on the first level where the patio was street front. This was a very busy area with people walking by on the sidewalk and vehicles driving by.

The homeowner had a front door next to the patio, but they never used it because they had blocked the front door with furniture. It was an odd setup, but this had made them feel more secure. The sliding glass door did not offer much protection on its own.

So we installed a keyed locking security screen door that slides. It was similar to installing the sliding screen doors with a few added parts, like the outside post interlock kit and additional steps to provide extra security.
