What’s the difference if I buy mine from Lowe’s, Home Depot, or Best Custom Screens?
First off, the 36 x 94 patio screen door from Lowe’s or Home Depot is not available in the home improvement stores. They only offer the adjustable screen doors up to 80 inches in the store. Follow Steve Tristan’s Best journey on his excursion to the orange and blue home improvement stores.
There are two ways to measure a Sliding Screen Door
When measuring patio screen doors, always use a heavy-duty tape measure like the Stanley Fat Max Tape Measure.
The first is by measuring your existing screen door frame
Always measure sliding screen door frames from corner to corner, width by height. Also, make sure that the end metal tip of your tape measure is not bent. If you dropped your tape measure, it’s likely that the end tip could be damaged.
The second is by measuring a specific way in the instructions,
measuring from the top of the bottom track to the edge of the top channel, and then adding 1/4″. Please see the instructions page and the slider glass door diagram for a clear understanding.

West Coast Metro Areas (Fully Assembled): We ship out of our Los Angeles and Las Vegas facilities. Shipping fully assembled product is highly affordable for metropolitan locations within CA, AZ, NV, NM, WA, OR, ID, and UT.
Rural West Coast Areas: Areas defined as rural by our regional carriers cannot accept fully assembled freight. These orders will ship partially assembled via FedEx or UPS.
East Coast & All Other States (Unassembled Kits Recommended): Due to extremely high cross-country freight costs, orders outside our West Coast zone ship Unassembled. Your product will arrive as a high-quality, easy-to-assemble kit to keep your shipping costs affordable and prevent transit damage.
